Claude has grown into one of the most powerful AI assistants for business use. In this article I share experiences from daily client work, with practical examples for sales, marketing, operations and management.
Claude is the AI assistant built by Anthropic. What sets Claude apart from other AI tools is its massive context window (you can upload complete documents and datasets), its more reliable and nuanced output, and features like Projects and Cowork.
With Projects you can attach permanent documents and instructions to a conversation, so Claude always has the right context. Cowork takes it a step further: Claude actively collaborates on documents and tasks, like a virtual colleague.
Tip
Claude Pro costs $20 per month. Most users earn that investment back in the first week, just from time saved on daily tasks.
How our clients use Claude every day.
Projects is one of Claude's most powerful features for business use. You upload documents such as your product information, client cases, style guide or process descriptions, and set permanent instructions.
The result: Claude always has the right context. Every time you start a new conversation within a Project, Claude knows your company, your tone of voice and your way of working. No repetition, just consistent results.
In practice, our clients create separate Projects per client, per department or per task type. This gives you a library of AI assistants, each with their own specialty.
The most common question: when do you pick Claude and when ChatGPT? In short: Claude is stronger at long, complex texts and analysis. ChatGPT excels in broad integrations and multimodality.
For sales copy, strategic documents and processing large amounts of information I choose Claude. For image generation, browsing and specific plugins I use ChatGPT.
My advice: use both. They complement each other. The most successful teams have both Claude and ChatGPT in their toolkit.

Analyze this contract: [PASTE CONTRACT]. Give a summary of the key points, flag risks or ambiguities, and suggest improvements.Writing an SOP
I will now describe a process we do manually: [DESCRIBE PROCESS]. Write an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) with clear steps that someone without prior knowledge can follow.| Pro | Team | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $20/month | $30/user/month | Custom pricing |
| Users | 1 | Entire team | Entire organization |
| Projects | Yes | Shared with team | Shared + admin controls |
| Context window | 200K tokens | 200K tokens | 500K tokens |
| Security | Standard | SOC 2 | SOC 2 + SSO + SAML |
| Ideal for | Solo entrepreneur / freelancer | Teams of 2-50 | 50+ employees |
My advice: start with Pro for yourself. As soon as your team wants to use it too, switch to Team. The ROI is there from day 1.
Go to claude.ai, click Projects, create a new project with a clear name ("Sales - [Company name]").
Upload these documents:
Write clear project instructions, for example:
You are a sales assistant for [COMPANY]. You help with prospect research, writing outreach messages, and preparing sales calls. Always write in a casual-professional tone, no buzzwords. Use the uploaded documents as context.Ask 5-10 typical questions your team would ask and check whether the answers are accurate. Adjust instructions where needed.
Give your team access (via Claude Team), have them open the project, and give a short 15-minute demo.
After one week, ask your team what works and what doesn't. Add extra documents or adjust instructions.
Tip: The difference between an average and an outstanding Claude Project is in the instructions. The more specifically you describe what you want, the better the result. Invest 30 minutes in good instructions and you save hours per week.
Most people type loose questions without context. That gives you generic answers.
Solution: use Projects with permanent context and instructions.
AI writes in a neutral, slightly corporate tone by default. That doesn't sound like you.
Solution: upload examples of your own writing style and give explicit instructions about tone.
Companies that try to deploy AI everywhere at once usually achieve nothing.
Solution: start with one use case, make it work, measure the results, then expand.
Blindly copying AI output without checking it.
Solution: treat AI like a smart intern. The output is a good first draft, but you remain responsible for the final result.
Using ChatGPT where Claude is a better fit, or vice versa. Or using AI for something a simple template solves faster.
Solution: choose your tool based on the task, not on habit.
Yes. Anthropic (the company behind Claude) does not store conversations for model training on paid plans. Your data is not used to improve the model and is stored encrypted. For extra assurance you can use the Team or Enterprise plans.
Yes, Claude handles many languages well, including Dutch, German and French, for both input and output. For most business applications the quality is comparable to English. For highly technical or legal texts it can help to give instructions in English.
Claude Team costs $25 per user per month (annual billing). For 10 people that is $250 per month. Given the time savings, ROI is positive for most teams within the first month.
Yes. Via the Claude API you can integrate Claude into your own workflows. With n8n you can connect Claude to your CRM, email tool, Slack and more, without writing code.
No. Claude is designed to be intuitive. You can start right away. That said, a training or workshop can help you extract more value from the tool faster and get your team up to speed.
